2025 Miami Hurricanes Football Predictions
By The Don Corleone Jones (@cjoneswho1212 on twitter)
The Miami Hurricanes had the best season in a very long time in 2024. It was the first time that Miami won ten games since 2017. Mario Cristobal had a special group last season but with transfers going out and people entering the draft, Miami had to retool and get the pieces they need to compete in the ACC. Here’s how Miami is going to look for the 2025 season.
Offense
Miami has to replace their star quarterback in Cam Ward as well as their leading rusher (Damien Martinez) and just about every receiver that made an impact for them last season. They still have Mark Fletcher Jr who will be a bell cow for the Hurricanes this season. Miami’s receiving room is a work in progress but it has potential in sophomore Joshisa Trader and their three transfers CJ Daniels (LSU), Keelan Marion (BYU) and Tony Johnson (Cincinnati). The only thing that will work early for the Hurricanes is the fact that their offensive line is solid and upperclassman dominant. They will need to be the key if this offense wants to get off the ground running early on this season.
Defense
Cristobal’s defense really struggled a season ago at stopping the pass and allowing 30.8 points per game during their conference games. He went out and got Corey Hetherman to be their defensive coordinator. Miami also went out and got a ton of defensive backs from the portal and hopefully a fully healthy Rueben Bain for the year can help this pass rush and the front seven as a whole. We can be optimistic about this defensive group, but we need to see it in action first before we fully can believe in this Hurricanes defense.

At SMU (Loss)
Vs Syracuse (Win)
Vs NC State (Win)
At Virginia Tech (Win)
At Pittsburgh (Loss)
(7-5)
When I first looked at this win total it was set at 8.5 and the under was set at +122. Now it went up to 9.5 with the over set at +126 and the under is at -154. This would have been an easy under to take when it was set at 8.5. Now that it is at 9.5 you should stay away from it as a whole. Carson Beck isn’t going to be the savior of this team. Last year was special and this year they will be bowl eligible, but they won’t be as successful as they were a season ago.
