2025 Alabama Crimson Tide Football Predictions
By Don Corleone Jones (@cjoneswho1212 on twitter)
The first year of the Kalen DeBoer era was good but it wasn’t up to the level that Alabama fans have for their teams. They missed the playoffs especially in the first year of the 12 team format. The Crimson Tide have a lot going for them coming into 2025. However, with that being said here is my prediction for the 2025 Alabama Crimson Tide football season.
Offense
The offense had some struggles last year. However, with Jalen Milroe now in the NFL they have a big void to fill. Right now we have a quarterback battle with Ty Simpson and Austin Mack to see who will start week number one. A name to keep an eye on is five star true freshman Keelon Russell. I think he has potential to be starting at some point this season. This offensive group has good depth at running back led by Jam Miller and a talented group of receivers with Ryan Williams headlining it. They also have Germie Bernard who comes back but they also add Isaiah Horton from Miami. Now for their quarterback to succeed they need a better all around effort from their offensive line. They return three offensive linemen but replacing Tyler Booker will be a tough thing to do. This offensive group has potential, but they need to get their quarterback situation cleared up first.
Defense
This group was great and was a big reason why they won nine games last season. Up front on the D-Line, they need to be better with their pass rush. They only managed nine sacks and it starts with LT Overton (28 hurries and only 3 sacks to show for). This group has potential to be really good as they can stop the run, but having a better pass rush makes this a top 3 defense in the conference. At linebacker, they lose Jihaad Campbell but they have some talent in this room. Guys like Justin Jefferson, Qua Russaw, Nikhai Hill-Green are some names that you need to listen for. In the secondary, this group is easily one of my favorites in the SEC. Domani Jackson, Keon Sabb, Bray Hubbard are the big time playmakers in this secondary. They bring in Cam Calhoun to also help because they need a true shutdown cornerback and Calhoun has that potential to do that. This defense is going to continue their dominance in the SEC.
Schedule
At Florida State (Win)
Vs UL Monroe (Win)
Vs Wisconsin (Win)
At Georgia (Loss)
Vs Vanderbilt (Win)
At Missouri (Win)
Vs Tennessee (Win)
At South Carolina (Loss)
Vs LSU (Loss)
Vs Oklahoma (Win)
Vs Eastern Illinois (Win)
At Auburn (Win)
(9-3)
Their win total is set at 9.5 with the over at (-108) and the under at (-112). This schedule for the Crimson Tide is a tough one for sure. It is going to be hard for this team to win ten games. Now if they get their quarterback situation figured out early, they can get over this. I just think the offense is going to struggle with the lack of a trusted quarterback for Kalen DeBoer. For now I would lean under, but I wouldn’t put it down as a bet overall for me.
